I’m taking a relaxed holiday this year, decided! Enough of adventure, enough of romance and enough itinerary hopping for sure. I’m going to laze around the beach and have a relaxed time. I have travelled to almost all the cities in the US and I have chosen a new beach city for my trip this winter. It is all about relaxation and rejuvenation.

Tampa Bay on the west coast of Florida is my vacation spot this year. This is an African themed park with plenty of entertainment rides and activities. It is a huge multiplex operated by the SeaWorld and is open all year round. Christmas Town and the Skyride are definitely on my list.

Catching an opera or theatre show at the Straz Center along with a meal is must for a dose of culture. There are shops as well to catch up with some shopping.

4. Ybor City

This is a cultural neighborhood in the city of Tampa. It is extremely famous for its handmade cigars. Picking up some as gifts and souvenirs is a great idea. It is symbolic of a great past of the immigrants and is populated and managed by them.

5. Hillsborough River State Park

One day is for the Hillsborough River State Park. I’m going to walk around, see the river, spot some exotic birds, read a book in the amphitheater and walk on the suspension bridge.

6. Tampa Museum of Art

This museum is very close to the Riverside walk. History lovers can enjoy contemporary as well as modern artwork displayed in the Tampa Museum of Art. Designed as a jewel box, just seeing the building is an enthralling experience.

7. Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

Another spectacular urban park. With so many fountains, art shows, a dog park, sculptures and much more, Tampa seems to have the best when it comes to family picnics and some time out.

8. Hyde Park

This is a very popular neighborhood owing to the amazing architecture and all the facilities and educational institutes. It also has the landmark Bayshore Boulevard that is the longest sidewalk in this world. You can shop at SoHo and also enjoy a great night out here. There are plenty of nightclubs and restaurants to choose from.
